The landscape

The global renewable-energy developer landscape

This ranking covers 15,489 companies ordered by attributed renewable capacity worldwide. The top 10 alone account for 297.5 GW — 7% of the 4183.7 GW tracked across the whole list — so the file shows you both the giants and the long tail of regional developers behind them.

Every company carries its operating and pipeline megawatts, technology split and project countries, rolled up from Global Energy Monitor's project trackers (used under CC BY 4.0) and enriched with company data from public sources: 100% have a website, 49% a company email and 23% a phone number.

Ownership is attributed share-weighted per project, so joint ventures are not double-counted, and subsidiaries keep their own aggregates. Use the technology and country columns to cut the ranking to exactly the renewable-energy exposure you care about.

How we built it

Compiled from public sources, cleaned before release

Project ownership is rolled up per company from Global Energy Monitor’s project trackers (used under CC BY 4.0), ranked by attributed capacity, then enriched with websites and company contact data from public sources. Field coverage is shown transparently above.

Sources

Global Energy Monitor project trackers (CC BY 4.0) plus each company's own website and public registries.

Attribution

Share-weighted per project — joint ventures are not double-counted; subsidiaries keep their own aggregates.

Enrichment

Websites, emails and phone numbers added from public sources; emails MX-validated.

The ranking is built from Global Energy Monitor's project trackers (used under the CC BY 4.0 license) and our own contact-enrichment pipeline: project ownership is rolled up per company and ranked by attributed capacity (MW), then enriched with websites and company contact data from public sources.

One row per company with capacity rank, operating and pipeline MW, technology mix (solar / wind / hydro), primary and active project countries, project counts, website, and company contact data where available. Company-level data only — no personal data.

You receive both an Excel (.xlsx) and a CSV file, delivered as instant download links by email immediately after purchase. The files open in Excel, Google Sheets, and import cleanly into any CRM.
